Finland · Lapland, above the Arctic Circle

Why Finland
Snow from October, light until May.
Finnish Lapland is not about vertical – it is about certainty. Snow comes early and stays late, the fells are wide and easy, and the cabins come with a sauna as standard. Kittilä airport has direct winter flights and the transfer to Levi is a quarter of an hour.
When the Alps are still green in October, Levi is skiing. When they are closing in April, Lapland has a month left and 18 hours of daylight.
A private sauna is standard in Lapland, not an upgrade. Ski, sauna, dinner, aurora – that is the evening.
Ylläs has more than 300 km of groomed trails; Levi over 200. Both lit for the dark weeks.
Ski resorts in Finland
Levi and Ylläs.
Levi is the resort village with the airport next door; Ylläs is the quieter fell with the longest trails. Full pages for both are coming – search live prices now.

Season 2026/27
Christmas in Lapland sells out first.
December is the busiest month above the Arctic Circle. For skiing, March and April give the light; for the aurora, October to March.
