Why Kvitfjell

For skiers who like it long and steep.

Kvitfjell hosts the World Cup for a reason: the downhill course is a black run you can actually ski, and the west and east sides add cruising blues and off-piste bowls. Weekday mornings you'll have the corduroy to yourself.

Real vertical

854 metres, most of it in one go – the longest sustained runs in Norway.

Hafjell on the same pass

Ski Kvitfjell's steeps one day, Hafjell's family runs the next – 30 minutes apart, one lift card.

Snow-sure and calm

High base, reliable snow into April, and a village that stays quiet even in week 8.

Where to stay

Apartments at Kvitfjell Vest, cabins on the hill, hotel at the base.

Smaller resort, easy choices: ski-in apartments on the west side, cabins with sauna above the village, or the hotel by the lifts.

Ski-in apartments

Kvitfjell Vest and the base: lift outside, restaurant downstairs, ski room in the basement.
