Booking terms
Last updated 30 October 2026
1. Who you book with
nordicalps.com (“Nordic Alps”, “we”, “us”) is run by Nordic Travel Services AS, org. no. 925 901 911, Science Park Kongsvinger, Norway. We sell accommodation – apartments, cabins and hotel rooms – supplied by accommodation providers (owners, rental agencies, hotels and their booking systems), “the provider”.
You make your booking and payment with us. The stay itself is delivered by the provider, who runs the property, hands over the keys and is responsible for its condition. These terms apply together with the rate's cancellation terms shown at booking and in your confirmation. If the two differ, the terms in your confirmation apply.
We sell accommodation only. Ski passes, equipment rental, ski school, transfers and other extras offered on our pages or on your booking page are separate services with their own terms and are not part of your accommodation booking.
2. How a booking is made
- You choose a stay, dates, number of guests and rate, fill in your details and accept these terms.
- The booking is binding for both parties when we send you a confirmation e-mail with a booking number. Until then it is a request, and availability and price are not guaranteed.
- If we cannot confirm the stay, we tell you as soon as possible and refund anything you have paid in full.
- Check your confirmation straight away. Tell us within 24 hours if names, dates, number of guests or the property are wrong, or if you have not received a confirmation.
- Give us a correct e-mail address and mobile number and keep them up to date. Booking information, payment reminders and arrival details are sent there, and we are not responsible for consequences of contact details being wrong.
The person who books (the lead guest) must be at least 18 years old, stay at the property and is responsible for all guests on the booking keeping these terms. Some providers require the lead guest to be older; if so, it is stated on the property page.
No right of withdrawal. Accommodation booked for specific dates is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales (Norwegian Cancellation Act, section 22 letter m, and the corresponding EU rule). You can only cancel under the cancellation terms in section 5.
3. Prices
- Prices are shown and charged in euro (EUR) and are the total price for the stay, the number of guests and the dates you selected.
- What is included (for example bed linen, towels, final cleaning) is shown on the property page and in the summary at booking. Anything not listed as included may be charged by the provider on site – typically extra cleaning if the property is not left tidy, extra beds, pets, charging an electric car, firewood or tourist tax where it applies.
- Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee if your card is not in euro. We do not control or receive this fee.
- Prices and availability change all the time. The price that applies is the one in your confirmation.
4. Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Refundable rates
- At booking: nothing to pay.
- Deposit: 25 % of the total price, at least €100, paid within 48 hours from your booking page. If it is not paid in time, the booking is cancelled automatically, at no cost to you and without further notice.
- Balance: due on the date in your confirmation. The date is set by the provider's free-cancellation deadline minus 5 days, or 28 days before arrival if the provider has no such deadline.
- If the balance falls due within 7 days of booking, the full amount is paid in one payment within 48 hours instead of a deposit.
- If the balance is not paid on the due date, we will remind you. If it is still not paid within 48 hours of the reminder, we may cancel the booking. The cancellation terms in section 5 then apply as if you had cancelled on that day.
Non-refundable rates, and arrivals close to today
The full price is paid when you book. The booking is only made once payment has gone through.
On site
Some providers ask for a security deposit or a card guarantee at check-in to cover damage or extra charges. If so, it is stated on the property page or in your arrival information. It is handled directly between you and the provider.
5. If you cancel or change
- Cancel from your booking page or by e-mail to info@nordicalps.com. A cancellation is effective when we receive it, and we confirm it in writing.
- Cancellation fee: €50 per booking once you have paid anything (deposit or more). It is deducted from the refund. If you cancel before paying anything, it is free.
- Refundable rates – before the cancellation date in your confirmation (the balance due date): what you have paid is refunded, less the €50 cancellation fee, within 14 days to the card you paid with.
- Refundable rates – on or after that date: the booking is non-refundable. Nothing is refunded.
- Non-refundable rates: nothing is refunded, whenever you cancel.
- No-show, late arrival or early departure: no refund for unused nights.
- Changes (dates, property, number of guests) depend on the provider and on availability. We try to help, but a change may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking, with the cancellation terms above.
- Name changes of guests are free of charge, as long as the lead guest stays on the booking and the number of guests does not increase.
- Bad weather, little snow, lift or road closures, illness or travel problems do not give a right to a refund. We recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover.
6. If we cancel or change your booking
Wrong prices
Prices come from our providers' systems and are shown automatically. Errors can happen – for example a technical fault, a wrong rate loaded by the provider, a currency or decimal error, or a price that is far below the provider's normal price for the same stay. If the price you booked at is clearly wrong, we may cancel the booking, also after it has been confirmed. We will tell you as soon as we discover the error, and in any case before arrival, and where possible offer you the stay at the correct price. If you do not want it, or we cannot offer it, you get back everything you have paid. We have no further liability for the cancellation.
Other reasons we may cancel
- The deposit or balance is not paid as described in section 4.
- The booking was made with false information, someone else's card, or with the intention of reselling the stay.
- The provider cannot deliver the stay, for example because of double booking, damage to the property, or the provider going out of business.
- Payment is reversed or disputed (chargeback) without good reason.
- Force majeure (see section 10).
If we or the provider cancel for a reason that is not your fault, we will offer you a comparable stay if one is available. If you do not accept it, or none is available, you get back everything you have paid, within 14 days.
Changes
If the provider has to move you to another unit, it will be of the same standard and size or better. If that is not possible, you may cancel and get everything you have paid refunded.
7. Your stay
- Check-in and check-out times, key handover and directions come in your arrival information from us or the provider.
- House rules: the provider's house rules apply – including rules on smoking, pets, noise, parties and the maximum number of guests. The provider may refuse entry, or ask guests to leave without a refund, if the rules are seriously broken.
- Number of guests: no more people may stay overnight than booked and stated for the property. Children and babies count as guests unless the property page says otherwise.
- Leave the property as you found it. Final cleaning, where included, does not cover washing up, emptying the fridge or taking out rubbish.
- Damage: you are responsible for damage and loss caused by you or your guests during the stay. The provider may charge for it directly.
- Special requests – a particular unit, floor, view, adjoining units, early check-in, a cot – are passed on to the provider but are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing. Extras such as cots, extra beds or pets may be charged on site.
- ID: the lead guest must be able to show valid photo ID at check-in if the provider asks for it.
- Descriptions and photos are based on information from the provider and are given in good faith. Small differences in furniture, decoration or equipment are not a defect.
8. If something is wrong
- You must tell the provider straight away – on arrival, or as soon as you notice the problem – so they can fix it while you are there. Contact details are in your arrival information.
- If it is not fixed, you must contact us at once at info@nordicalps.com or in the chat on the website, while you are still at the property.
- Send your complaint in writing within 14 days after departure, with a description and photos.
You must do both step 1 and step 2. They are a condition for any complaint. The provider and we must get the chance to fix the problem during your stay. If a problem was not reported to the provider and to us while you were there, you cannot claim a refund, price reduction or compensation for it afterwards.
We will handle your complaint with the provider and reply within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you may contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (forbrukerradet.no) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform. This does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer law.
9. Liability
- The provider is responsible for the property, its standard and safety, and for delivering the stay as described.
- We are responsible for handling your booking and payment correctly.
- Neither we nor the provider are liable for indirect losses, such as travel costs, ski passes, lost holiday days or loss of income, unless caused by gross negligence or intent.
- Our liability is limited to the total price of the booking, except where mandatory law sets a higher limit or the loss was caused by gross negligence or intent.
- We are not responsible for snow and weather conditions, opening of lifts, slopes and trails, roads, flights or other transport, or for services booked from other companies.
10. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failing to fulfil the agreement because of circumstances outside its control that it could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided – for example natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, war, terror, strikes, pandemics or orders from the authorities. If the stay cannot go ahead because of such circumstances at the property itself, you get back what you have paid, less any costs we cannot recover from the provider. Problems travelling to the property are not covered; travel insurance is recommended.
11. Personal data
We share your name, contact details and booking details with the provider so they can deliver your stay. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
12. Use of the website
- Information on nordicalps.com – descriptions, photos, prices, availability and travel guides – may be changed without notice. Clear errors in descriptions or photos may be corrected at any time.
- The site is for private bookings. Automated collection of prices or content (scraping), bookings for resale, and bookings made to block availability are not allowed, and such bookings may be cancelled.
- We aim to keep the site and booking available at all times, but cannot guarantee that it is free from interruptions or faults.
- Text, photos and design on the site belong to us or our partners and may not be copied without permission.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are settled by the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court as agreed venue, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring the case in your country of residence. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the day you booked.
