Getting to Hafjell
Two hours from Oslo Airport, fifteen minutes from a mainline station. The easiest Norwegian ski week to reach without a car.
Book your flight. We do the rest. We are here, on the mountain — transfer, keys, lift pass and the answer to whatever comes up at four o'clock on a Saturday afternoon.

Get a price for the last leg
Tell us when your flight lands and we will send you straight to the people who sell it, with your time already filled in. We do not resell transport — you book it where it is cheapest, and we make sure you are looking at the right departure.
Morning departures out of Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh all land in Oslo before lunch. An evening flight saves nothing once you have paid for the taxi at the far end.
Norwegian train tickets go on sale about three months ahead. Book earlier than that and the journey planner will show the connection but not the fare.
Airport transfer
There is no dedicated airport shuttle to Hafjell. The standard route is the train from Oslo Airport to Lillehammer, then the Hafjell bus — about fifteen minutes.
Not sure which to take?
Send us your flight and we will tell you what we would do ourselves — including when the answer is the train and not a car. We book the accommodation; the transport you book direct, and you keep the difference.
By train

Parking
Paid, through the Apcoa Flow app — enter your registration once and it charges automatically. The first 90 minutes are free, a full day is NOK 80, and evenings from 16:00 are NOK 40. Six 7 kW EV chargers at the bottom of the gondola; charging is billed on top of parking.
Getting around once you are here
The Hafjellbussen is free during the day with a lift pass. Without one, a single is NOK 29 and an evening ticket NOK 87. Under-sevens travel free.
The best weeks are the last ones
March and the first half of April are the finest skiing of the year up here. The days are long, the sun is on the slopes instead of behind the trees, the snow base is at its deepest after a full winter of cold, and the queues from February half-term have gone home.
It is also when the ski charters stop. The seasonal flights into Scandinavian Mountains end on 13 March. Oslo Gardermoen runs all year, from every major European city — so the best weeks of the season are reached the same way you would reach Oslo on any other weekend.
Train, then a taxi
Most people take the train to Lillehammer and cover the last 15 km on the local bus. It is cheap and it works — when the timetable matches your flight.
The bus takes fifteen minutes and is free with a lift pass, but it stops at 18:30. Land late, or land with a family and a week of luggage, and a taxi from outside Lillehammer station is the sane answer. Four people and the bags fit in one car.
Half a ski week is decided in the first two hours. A train ticket for four and one taxi at the end still costs a fraction of a private transfer from the airport, and you are not standing in an arrivals hall waiting for a driver who is stuck on the E6.
Build the trip you want
Hafjell, Kvitfjell and Sjusjøen are all within an hour of each other, and all within two and a half hours of Oslo Airport. One flight, three very different mountains.
- Kvitfjell
- 45 km — 45 min
- Sjusjøen
- about 35 km via Lillehammer
- Lillehammer
- 15 km — the town, the Olympic sites and the restaurants
A charter sells you one resort, one week, one flight home. Flying into a real airport means you can split the week, add two nights in a city, or ski two mountains and let us move you between them. Tell us what you want the week to look like and we will put it together.
