Sweden · two resorts, two very different weeks
Sweden. The ski town, and the family week.
Åre is Scandinavia's biggest resort and feels like a town. Sälen is four linked areas on one lift pass, ten minutes from its own airport. Both booked direct, priced per week.

Why Sweden
Bigger than you think, closer than you think.
Sweden's mountains are gentler than Norway's but the resorts are large, well run and built for families. Sälen has an airport at the bottom of the slope; Åre has a railway station in the middle of the village. Both have long spring seasons.
Scandinavian Mountains Airport sits ten minutes from the Sälen lifts, with winter flights from the UK and Denmark – and Trysil in Norway is 40 minutes the other way.
The night train from Stockholm stops in the village; Trondheim airport in Norway is two hours by car. Arrive, walk to the lift.
Sälen's four areas – Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen, Hundfjället – share one lift pass and a free ski bus. Åre links three areas on one.
